John met his wife while they were both working as hospital pharmacists early in their careers. Together, they built and successfully operated retail and long-term care pharmacy businesses, including both pharmacy operations and pharmaceutical distribution. Following their success in the healthcare industry, John expanded into commercial real estate, with a focus on developing affordable housing communities for seniors and children—a pursuit that became a lifelong passion.

John has also been deeply committed to community service, serving on the boards of several organizations, including St. Cabrini Hospital's Senior & Children's Community Services, Kin On Nursing Home, and the Seattle Asian Chamber of Commerce.
